After receiving a BS Degree at Clemson University, Bob L. Brown studied painting with William Halsey and printmaking with Leo Manske at the College of Charleston. He returned to Clemson for additional studies in art and received a MFA degree in photography under Sam Wang. While pursuing his graduate degree, he spent a semester at Clemson’s Villa in Genoa, Italy and documented Italian architecture with photographs. He returned to Charleston, SC where he started painting again while working on other projects. He also has taken Road Scholar Study Journeys in Art History in France and Spain.
Bob was born in Anderson, South Carolina on November 17, 1944. His life’s work ended on April 30, 2023 when he was relieved of his mortal coil. He leaves behind a legacy of art forms in photography, printed works, paint and mixed media.
